General Fund

Giving to the general fund helps the ministry of Renew Church in the following ways:

  • You allow us to gather, celebrate, worship, learn, welcome, and serve in our church space.
  • You help sustain our Community Food Pantry which serves over 60 people weekly.
  • You cultivate our Community Garden as we invite our neighbors to garden with us.
  • You invest in our Young Adult Initiative and witness the recapturing of a generation's passion for church.
  • You invest in our Hispanic ministry.
  • You assist women, children, immigrants and refugees with housing and daily needs through the work of Mary's Place and World Relief Seattle.

Staff diversity and development fund

It will take great intentionality and the blessing of resources to fight the status quo and lean into being a more diverse, a more just, and a more beloved community that reflects the beauty of God's children, men and women, and of different ethnicities. It is our strategic aim to empower, equip, and resource a multiethnic team of staff and leaders to carry out the ministry of Renew Church and serve a broader mosaic of congregants and neighbors. Giving to this fund will help Renew Church by:

  • Supporting the work of Pastors Dave Sim and Erica Cox. In order to sustain our multiethnic ministries, we are striving to raise 1/2 of our paid staff salaries via fundraising.
  • Support the ministries of Magdiel and Uriel Tzec.
  • Contributing to the mentoring of seminarians and interns.
  • Sending staff to workshops, retreats, and training cohorts.
  • Helping pastoral candidates pursue ordination with the Evangelical Covenant Church through Covenant Orientation or CHET, along with travel/registration costs for Covenant events.
